CODE OF ETHICS PLEDGE



WE AFFIRM AND PLEDGE as an employee of Surveillance Investigation Services, I further accept and agree:



TO perform all assignments and case examinations in a moral, ethical, and legal manner;\



TO work entirely within the framework of the law



TO NOT knowingly support, affiliate with, offer authorship, or agree with any site, group or firm, or individual whose teachings or practices are contrary to or opposed to those accepted by Surveillance Investigation Services



TO NOT knowingly make a false statement of material fact



TO NOT engage in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation



TO NOT unlawfully obstruct another party's access to evidence or unlawfully alter, destroy, or conceal a document or other material having potential evidentiary value and to not counsel or assist another person to do any such act



TO NOT offer evidence that I know to be false, and if I have offered material evidence and come to know of its falsity, I shall take reasonable remedial measures



TO NOT falsify evidence or assist a witness to testify falsely, or offer an inducement to a witness that is prohibited by law



TO immediately inform the appropriate authority when knowledge exists of another private investigator that has committed a violation of the standards of professional conduct, as set forth herewith, that raises a substantial question as to that person's honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a private investigator or case examiner in other respects



TO NOT commit an act that reflects adversely on my honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as an investigator in other respects



TO NOT state or imply an ability to influence improperly a government agency or official



TO verify all paperwork, documents, statements, evidence, and facts that may lead to a wrongful arrest, detention, civil action, or criminal action whether it involves an individual or organization



IN REPRESENTING A CLIENT, I SHALL report all facts developed in a case promptly and timely



I SHALL NOT use means that have no substantial purpose other than to embarrass, delay, or burden another person or organization. Maintaining or being identified on any blog or any web site which depicts illegal or inappropriate behavior will be considered a violation of my Oath & Code of Ethics



I SHALL NOT use methods of obtaining evidence that violate the legal rights of such a person or organization



I SHALL NOT present or participate in presenting criminal charges solely to obtain advantage in a civil matter



I SHALL NOT threaten to present criminal charges in order to obtain advantage in a civil matter



I SHALL NOT fail to disclose a material fact when disclosure is necessary to avoid assisting a criminal act by my client



I SHALL NOT enter into a business transaction with a client or knowingly acquire an ownership, security or other pecuniary interest adverse to a client unless: The terms on which I acquire the interest is fair and reasonable to the client and is disclosed in writing to the client in a manner which can be reasonably understood by the client; The client is given a reasonable opportunity to seek independent counsel in the transaction and the client consents in writing



I SHALL NOT use facts relating to representation of a client to the disadvantage of the client unless the client consents



I SHALL NOT prepare an instrument, or take part in an instrument, giving myself or a person related to me any substantial gift from a client, including a testamentary gift, except where the client is related to the donee



I SHALL NOT provide financial assistance to a client in connection with pending or contemplated litigation, except that: I may advance court costs and expenses of litigation, the repayment of which may be contingent on the outcome of the matter; and in representing an indigent client may pay court costs and expenses of litigation on behalf of the client.



I SHALL NOT accept compensation for representing a client from one other than the client unless the client consents



I SHALL NOT represent a client if the representation of that client will be directly adverse to another client, unless: I reasonably believe it will not adversely affect the relationship with the other client; and each client consents
